When a woman steps onto the Path of Priestess Consciousness, she opens a portal of invitation to the Source of that consciousness. Ancient European peoples knew the personification of this consciousness as the Fates (among other names) which are triple Goddess energies of Past-Present-Future within the continuing cycles of Life here on Earth.
According to Nordic legend (one of Europe’s last to be consumed by and converted to Roman based Christianity) these three Wizened Eldest Women live beside deep Source Wells found beneath the roots of the World Tree, where they spin, weave, and cut the fates of humans, .
But I digress.
Whenever a modern woman opens to this Ancient Source Consciousness, she’s likely unaware of the intense power she’s tapping into by innocently initiating contact. And because our Ancient Wisdom of connecting with this Primal Force was so obliterated by fierce and brutal practices of a conquering Sky God Priesthood, we’ve all become unprepared for the power of direct initiation when this Primal Energy is engaged.
As an example, my personal initiation lasted several years, with increasing intensity until I became aware that I was “on the hook of the Dark Mothers,” a concept that landed in my mind one day which I’d never before considered. You see, I’ve been firmly in the Christ Consciousness camp for decades! And now the inky obscured mysteries of Gaia Herself were coming for me, taking my conscious self into Her Void of Transformation, adding a grounded dimension to my cosmic understandings.
That may sound intimidating. But truly, it became reassuring that most ‘troubles’ showing up were not my fault nor imagination; they were growth or clearing experiences. The very edges of my compassion for Self and Others were tested to extremes. And my willingness to Trust all manner of embodied Guidance was increased with every time that my current intellect or instincts were proven as irrelevant.
Body, Mind, Heart, Soul – all aspects of my Being were stripped and recalibrated. It was just me and Primal Mothers, because very few people could help or even understand this journey. I’ve since been honored to assist others on their particular paths, all quite varied according to the person and their journey.
